NEW YORK TRIATHLON - NYTRI
Celebrating 35 Years in 2019

NEW YORK TRIATHLON (NYTRI) has embarked on its 35th year of organizing multi-sport events. During this period we have worked hard to produce the best value in multi-sport events available to athletes in the Tri-State area. To date we have organized over 500 events that drew approximately 100,000 competitors, many of them first timers to multi-sport competition. No other organization in the country has produced a more extensive and varied list of events. Our organizational expertise and safety record are known and respected nationwide.

New York Triathlon, is a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to developing the sport of triathlon, duathlon and related multi-sport events for racing, physical fitness and recreation. Our membership includes novice to seasoned athletes from throughout the Tri-state (New York, New Jersey, Connecticut) area. Emphasis is placed on amateur competition. Established in 1984 as the Big Apple Triathlon Club, competitors in NYTRI events receive the highest quality of organization and safety standards. Proceeds from races and membership fees are used to support and develop the innovative year-round programs and top quality events that distinguish NYTRI.

The format for the Big Apple Duathlon Series (run/bike/run) has become the standard for Duathlon competition on the international racing circuit. NYTRI was innovative in organizing the New York Tri/Duathlon Series, the Central Park Spring Relay, the Central Park Triathlon, the March Madness Duathlon,  the Trooper Duathlon and many other triathlons and duathlons throughout the Hudson Valley including Westchester, Dutchess, Putnam, Greene, Columbia and Ulster Counties. .

The organization exists and steadily grows through the efforts of its members. We encourage and need members to volunteer their time at our events so as to ensure the top quality and safe events that are associated with our organization. If you can be of assistance, please call 845-247-0271.
